All the words in the world cannot adequately express the sadness and loss I feel at this moment.
Eric, you always were and always will be my very favourite brother-in-law. You were my rock through my early teenage years.
Not many handsome young men would allow their girlfriend’s little sister to go to the cinema with them or take a group of my school friends to the swimming pool at Southwell which left no room in the car for Kathryn.
I will now cherish the fact that in recent times the telephone has enabled us to share many interesting chats. The topics always being wide and varied, world and local news, how the garden and crops were looking, how many birds you were feeding and of course what the weather was like, a constant concern for any farmer. No topic though gave you as much pleasure as talking about your family get togethers which you enjoyed oh so much.
Eric, you will be forever loved and remembered for your kind, generous, considerate, helpful, sincere and cheerful nature (we could even hear the smile on your face over the phone). Our happy memories will live on not only through us and your family but also through everyone who had the pleasure and good fortune to know you.
Love, Liz and Eddie
