A.W. Lymn The Family Funeral Service in Tuxford continues the caring tradition formerly provided by G.D. Hall Funeral Directors, offering compassionate and professional funeral care to families throughout North Nottinghamshire and the surrounding areas.
Situated at the southern end of Tuxford, the funeral home occupies a superb setting. The purpose-built premises are modern yet retain a historical and atmospheric feel, creating a first-class, practical environment that is both private and welcoming for families at a difficult time.
The Tuxford premises have been thoughtfully designed to provide a calm and homely setting, enabling families to discuss funeral arrangements in comfort and privacy. A dedicated Chapel of Rest offers the opportunity to see a loved one in a peaceful, restorative and meaningful environment.
The funeral home serves the communities of Tuxford, Ollerton and the surrounding areas, including Bassetlaw, Newark and Sherwood, West Lincolnshire and South Yorkshire.
Formerly G.D. Hall Funeral Directors, the funeral home was purchased by A.W. Lymn on 3rd April 2026 from Graham and Diane Hall. Over the coming months, the premises will complete their transition to operate fully under the A.W. Lymn name, while continuing the personal, family-focused service for which they have long been valued.
Appointments are available by arrangement, and families are encouraged to make contact by telephone to discuss their individual needs.

There are no words to explain how amazing, graceful and supportive this review needs to be. A.W Lymns, Tuxford branch, Kirk and his team were beyond every expectation we had. They cared for us as a family and my dad with such a kind nature. We know and has comfort he was in there hands. His celebration of life was made so special and independent for my dad. Both Sam and Kirk (in Tuxford) were very helpful right from the start and very reassuring. Sam was particularly patient with my indecisiveness. She helped to find a minister in Scotland who was lovely. Kirk personally drove my mother from Tuxford all the way to Glasgow. On the day of the funeral all our family commented on how pleasant and professional he was.
