Peacefully, surrounded by family and friends, on August 1st The Lane lost a legend: Micky (Big Mick). The dearest son of Maureen and the late Michael, beloved brother of Yvonne, the late Michelle and dear brother-in-law of Keith. The devoted partner of Danielle and much-loved by Danielle’s parents Tracy and Richard. The adored dad of Scott, Gemma, Jade and Joseph, a cherished grandad, uncle and loving nephew of Ada and Rolly. The best friend of David (Mopson), Billy, and a good friend to many. Never to be forgotten.

Family and friends please meet on Wednesday August 19th for a service in Independent Methodist Church, Easington Lane at 12.45pm, committal to follow in Durham Crematorium. Donations in memory of Micky gratefully received for the work of ELCAP, a donation box will be available in the church. All are welcome afterwards to continue celebrating Micky’s life in the Bonnie Pit Lad.
