In Loving Memory of Sheila Wood
Sheila Wood was born on 17th December 1950 in Dundee, Scotland. Throughout her life she called several places home, living in Scotland, Burnley and eventually settling in Scarborough, where she built a life filled with love, laughter and countless memories.
Sheila was a devoted mum to Paul, Donna, Nicola and Elaine, and a much-loved mother figure to Diane, Kadie, Kelsey and Liam. She was also a proud grandmother and great-grandmother to many, all of whom brought her endless joy and happiness.
She shared many wonderful years with her loving partner, Stanley Wood. Together they became well known in the local community for running the Working Men's Club in Scarborough, where they made many lifelong friends and touched the lives of so many people.
Throughout her working life, Sheila dedicated herself to caring for others. She worked in nursing before later working in several hotels around Scarborough, always known for her kindness, hard work and warm smile.
Family meant everything to Sheila. She loved nothing more than packing everyone up for a holiday, planning
spontaneous days out, or simply spending time together making memories that will be treasured forever. Her home was always open, her advice was always honest, and her heart was big enough to make everyone feel like family.
Sheila will be remembered for her generosity, her caring nature, her wonderful sense of humour and the love she gave so freely. She leaves behind a family who adored her, many friends whose lives she touched, and a legacy of kindness that will never be forgotten.
She will be deeply missed every day but lovingly remembered always.
