A great man, Dad, and Grandfather passed away peacefully at home on 25th June.

Widower to Mary .E. Wilkins SRN, (deceased 2023).

Born Merry Oak, Merry Oak School, then time-served Thorney Croft (Woolston) followed by a career in shipbuilding, and 22 years at Pirelli General (Southampton).
He spent his life on and near the River Itchen and had a strong affinity with it and the animals it supported. He was a campaigner against the exploitation of the river and was a founding member of the Itchen Waterfront Association which fought and won many battles to protect and promote access to the river and Southampton Water for the citizens of Southampton. Colin was a devoted and loving husband to Mary, father to Clive, Alan, and Angela, and grandfather to Luke, Danielle, Georgia, Jay, Harvey, Ashleigh, and Marcus.
You are sorely missed but we're happy that you're now reunited with mum.

The funeral will be held at West chapel, Southampton Crematorium on 07 August @11.00am. No flowers please but donations to RSPB would be appreciated.
