Annie Nelson (18 Jan 1963 - 19 Jul 2026)

A beautiful ceremony last week, well done to everyone who played a part in a fitting tribute and clebebration of the life of a special person.

In memory of dear Annie, such a bright and shining lady, I will miss your smile.

In memory of a beautiful soul, who touched so many lives.

Dear Annie, so sorry we have lost you. You were the life and soul of many a party. Bright blue eyes and full of energy, a lovely person to be around. You will be missed so much. Forever beautiful. Today, our thoughts are with Annie's family and friends. May you find peace in your memories, and comfort knowing that she will never be forgotten.

Ann was such a beautiful, caring, vibrant person, always so helpful and kind it’s hard to believe she has gone because she was always so present. I feel privileged for our friendship, I hope the eternal tide cares for you Ann as much as you cared for others ❤️xxx

It was a privilege to know Annie, she was such a lovely person whose smile lit up a room. We knew her through Mayura Yoga Studio and she had many friends in the yoga community. She will be fondly remembered by us and sorely missed!

Dear Havens, thank you for the kindness and deep care you give to those when they need it most. Your work is so appreciated.

Over 30 years ago I met your sweet face looking up at me through a crowd with your sparkling blue eyes so far from ice,
Nothing cold about the energy that radiated from you and nothing shy about that smile so wide and welcoming.
You drew me in with your incredible warmth.
and we laughed at the realisation that from two lives so far apart and a desire to tame our verbal origins we had both learnt the same tender words of a poem about a shining flower in the woods with a desire not to be picked and die but to live on to share its beauty with the world. How poignant now Annie.
You are that shining flower since the day we met, your friendship a joyful light, a companion of merit in the drudgery of daily life. Nothing ever boring around you. A simple meal, a delight of nourishment and careful thought. A walk by the sea, always a flurry of possibilities and excitement of the simple joys around us.
At the merest sounds of your favourite tunes, your fist in the air and smiling from ear to ear. Even yoga was filled with laughter, you’d have us laughing while standing on one leg, pure mischief behind every posture.
The sea swims always a festival of giggles, sharp intakes of breath, wooly hats and blue hands. How you revelled in the joy of life in those purest shivering moments on Jocelyn beach, surrounded by your tribe of swimsuited companions. The sun shimmering behind you in competition with your smile.
Dearest Annie, I will never forget that smile, so welcoming so drawing in of everyone and everything. Those blue eyes and the sound of your giggles bouncing on the sparkling waters.
You’ve been picked from the forest now but you live on in all of us that were touched by your spirit. I’m so honoured and so grateful to have known you. Rest in peace now Annie. Rest in peace xx
