I was very fond of Alan when we worked together at BG as part of the iconic 13T team which he contributed greatly with his fantastic sense of humour and work ethic.
Alan had a gift that even when things were tough was to lift the spirit and always make me smile.
My deepest condolences to Allison and family.
RIP Alan
See you in the next world.

I had the privilege of working with Alan “DCI” Burnsides for over ten years at British Gas, where I also had the honour of managing him. Alan was a brilliant character — full of humour, heart, and the kind of spirit that lifted every team he was part of. He was loved by everyone who worked with him, and his presence made the tough days easier and the good days even better. He’ll be deeply missed, but never forgotten. R.I.P Alan!
