Kathleen Ada Roberts (née Barker) (7 Aug 1933 - 2 Jul 2026)

Peacefully at her home in Dover on July 2nd in her 93rd year. Beloved wife of the late Peter, a much loved Mum of Sue, Nick & the late Chris & treasured nan & great grandma.

Former Senior Officer in the Girls Venture Core (GVC - 99 Squadron based in Folkestone)

A ‘Celebration of Life’ service will be held at Hawkinge Crematorium at 1.30 pm with reception at Hawkinge Cricket & Social Club, Cricketers Close, Hawkinge, CT18 7NH from 2.15 pm to 6 pm.

Dress code: Smart casual & colourful but generally whatever is most comfortable, taking into account current bouts of extremely high temperatures.

If you are unable to attend the service in person, you can view online by webcast.

Family only will arrange flowers but Sue & Nick are setting up a fund to pay for some of the future entertainment for the residents at Laureston House where Kath received excellent care for 4 years. Kath very much enjoyed the musicians that performed & cute animals that visited the home. Gifts to this fund in memory of Kath would be appreciated & if you wish to be kept informed of the activities please include your name & email address. Please make cheques payable to S K Glanville or if you wish to make a bank transfer, ask Sue for the bank details. Alternatively a cash gift can be given, details of which, will be provided at the service. Cheques or cash in a sealed envelope can also be deposited with the funeral directors at the following address. Please include Kath’s name & your name (optional).
