In loving memory of Peter Edwin Lyons who passed away suddenly on 13th June 2026. Leaves behind his loving wife Anne, daughter Christy and partner Ian, his grandson Cormac Peter and our much loved Labrador Archie. Also sister Julie and nephews Tim and Pete.
I met Pete in May 1988 through mutual friends surprisingly in a pub called the new inn It was love almost at first sight. We spent nearly forty years together that has proved to be an eventful journey.
He was a principal lecturer at Nottingham Trent University and loved his academic work and helping and supporting colleagues and students.
He loved travelling and spent much time abroad both working and sightseeing and for pleasure. He enjoyed boat trips of any kind including his much loved narrow boat.
He was a sociable, a character, described affectionately as eccentric and had strong political views and a strong sense of fairness.
He has left a huge hole and is sorely missed.
