Aunt Daisy lived thousands of miles away from my family home, but she was never far from my thoughts.
Each Christmas, her beautiful cards, adorned with peaceful scenes framed in snow that seemed almost magical to a child who had never known winters, would arrive unfailingly. They were lovingly displayed in our family home and became a cherished reminder that family bonds span oceans and remain strong throughout the years.
Years later, I had the great joy of visiting her in her home, where she welcomed me with warmth, generosity, and grace. To experience her kindness firsthand and to be embraced by her family was a gift I will always treasure.
Though distance separated us for much of our lives, she remained a spiritually resonant presence in mine. I will remember her with deep affection, gratitude, and the comforting knowledge that love can travel farther than any map can measure. May she rest in power, and may her memory continue to bring warmth to all who were fortunate enough to know her and be nurtured by her.
My sincere condolences to Uncle Ralston, my cousins, Andrew, Chris, Wayne, Rohan, Dawn and all the family. May you find comfort in each other’s presence and care.
