In loving memory of Paul Christopher Newnham who sadly passed away on 17th June 2026.

He was a devoted husband, a much-loved son and brother, a proud dad and father-in-law, a cherished grandad, and a loyal friend to so many. His kindness, warmth, and sense of humour meant he was loved by everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

He found joy in the simple pleasures of life. Whether he was out fishing, polishing his Harley Davidson, spending time with family and friends, or enjoying a pint with good company, he made every moment count. A lifelong Manchester United supporter, he followed his team with passion and never missed the chance to cheer them on.

Above all, he will be remembered for the love he gave, the laughter he shared, and the countless memories he created with those around him. His presence brought comfort, happiness, and friendship to so many lives, and his memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

Flowers will be from the immediate family only. If you wish to make a donation in memory of Paul, the family would be deeply grateful for contributions to Southend Hospital Charitable Foundation – Cardiac & Daycare Unit, in recognition of the wonderful care and kindness shown.

Finally, in honour of his love for Manchester United, we invite everyone attending the service to wear black with a touch of red in his memory. A small tribute to a man who will be forever loved and forever red. ❤️

R.I.P Paul. It doesn’t seem that long ago when we’re supporting the boys playing for Kingsdown Rangers. You were one of the best and will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing you. Take care Big Al x

P, I never thought in a million years writing this would be so tough especially when I have so many good memories of you. To me you wasn't just p, to me you was the father figure I had always needed in life, when times were tough you and Lynn took me in as one of your own with out hesitation. Even calling me your 'adopted son'. That just goes to show what kind of a man you was, selfless, kind and always putting others before yourself. You loved your family and friends hard but seeing everyone over the last few weeks you realise how much people loved you, the greatest man I ever knew.
I will always be proud to be part of your family, going to miss popping in to see you on my way home to watch the footy and have a beer with you, talk about work and just life in general. Im so grateful I got to spend all the birthdays, Christmas's and special occasions with you and your family. Thank you for everything you have done for me, megan, Mila and treating us like one of your own. We are going to miss you so much!
Love you p x

It is with deep sadness and and great memories that I say goodbye to my fishing partner ,Paul. Come rain or shine early till late, untangling lines, or waiting for a bite an occasional beer. Those hours on the river or lakes were the best of times. Thank you for the laughs, the stories, and the friendship . The trips won't be the same without you, but I'll think of you with every cast. Tight lines, my friend. Rest in peace.

I only had the pleasure of meeting Paul a handful of times but he always welcomed me with warmth and jokes, he never took himself too seriously around me and he always took care of the people around him. I will miss him dearly and I’m sorry to all of the family for their loss of a great man. Sending all of my love and prayers x

Sadly, I never had the privilege of meeting Paul, but it's clear he did an incredible job raising someone I'm proud to call both a colleague and a friend. My deepest condolences to Dean and the entire family during this difficult time. Paul will be greatly missed, and his memory will live on through all those whose lives he touched.

Someone I choose to call an Uncle. You really was one in a million you made everyone feel welcomed and I never left being around you without a smile on my face. You lit up every room you went it. I will never forget how special you were to us as a family. I’m so glad you put up with my dad’s waffling stories for so long that I got to call you my uncle. Thanks for all the memories, the holidays, the nights down the shed. You will be missed everyday, but I’m so grateful for everyday we got with such a special man. Lots of love ❤️❤️
