John was a much-loved partner, dad, grandad, and great-grandad whose family meant everything to him. He worked hard throughout his life to provide for those he loved, and his dedication, strength, and generosity will never be forgotten.

Alongside his devotion to family, John formed many lifelong friendships. He loved spending time with friends, sharing stories, laughter, and good company. Those friendships became an important and treasured part of his life, and the many messages and memories shared since his passing are a testament to the affection and respect in which he was held.

John was also immensely proud of his service in the Royal Air Force, where he served for 12 years as a Senior Aircraftman. His time in the RAF helped shape the values of loyalty, commitment, and resilience that remained with him throughout his life. In recognition of this important chapter of his life, the family has chosen to support the Royal Air Forces Benevolent Fund alongside LOROS Hospice, two charities that we know John would be proud to support. Donations in John’s memory to either cause are welcomed in place of flowers by anyone who wishes to do so.

John will always be remembered for his warmth, sense of humour, determination, and the love he gave so freely to those around him. Though our hearts are broken by his loss, we take comfort in the countless memories he leaves behind and in the legacy that lives on through his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Partner, Dad, Grandad, Great-Grandad – we miss you more than words can say. But as you would have wanted, we will celebrate the life you lived. On 8th July, your partner, family and friends will come together to raise a final glass in your honour, just as you would have enjoyed. We will remember the laughter, the stories, the friendships, and the love that made you so special to each of us.

You will be loved always, missed forever, and remembered with pride.

Dad may you rest in eternal peace. It’s broken my heart to lose you, but you did not go alone, because part of me went with you, the day god called you home xxx

Grandad, I can’t believe you are not here with us any more. You were the most loving, caring and nicest person I know. I will always remember everything we did together and all the morals you have taught me throughout of my life. Thank you for lighting up my life and I hope we lit up your life with your first great grandchild. Me and my wife are deeply saddened by your passing but I know you’re up there looking down on us. I will always love you and miss you. Love from Fabion xoxox
