In loving memory of Bhupindar Kaur Atwal who sadly passed away on 17th June 2026, aged 85.

A fiercely strong and inspirational lady, loving wife of Pritam Singh Atwal (Deceased), sister to Charanjeet Kaur, devoted Mummy Ji to three daughters: Pushpindar, Rupindar and Nirmal. She was also a proud and loving Nani Ji to four grandsons: Harry-Shivraj, Arjun, Amar and Sampuran.

Although she faced the challenges of Alzheimer's Disease in her later years, her family and friends will always remember the many happy years that came before, filled with love, laughter, strength and care for all those around her. She was a trail blazer and broke down many barriers both in India and when she came to the United Kingdom in 1964. She will be sadly missed.

For those that are unable to attend in person, there will be a live Webcast. Please contact Rupindar for login details.

Thank you for your prayers, support and condolences at this difficult time.

Bhupindar was an amazing woman, she was so kind, gentle and such a loving human being. She is deeply missed at Willow by many residents and carers and especially by me. I have thought about her everyday since her passing, I think of her wonderful daughters who Bhupi so fondly spoke about. I'm sorry I wont be able to attend her funeral but I know you will be surrounded by loved ones. Waheguru ji charna ch niwas bakshe.

Bhupindar took part in a project for our small charity while living at Willow Court. She is someone who has always stuck in our minds for her enthusiasm, smile and genuine warmth. Thank you to her family, particulalry Rupindar for facilitating her meeting us and allowing us to enjoy her favourite music with you both. We are sadly both at prior engagements but will be thinking of you all on the day of the funeral. Best wishes and condolences from Lucy, Dimana and the whole team at Music for my Mind.

Bhupinder Bhenji,a longstanding friend and God-Daughter of our extended Family, and a Bhupinder Atwal, a long-standing friend and God-daughter of the late Myrrpureys, and a God-Sister to the Myrrpurey siblings, was an inspiring role model for us in our early pioneering years in England...As a dedicated wife and Mother to her trio of daughters, she sustained a calmness of mind, and a tolerance of rapidly changing circumstances, on her homefront as well as her vocational duties, with agility and grace, whilst maintaining her zeal for the arts,as a talented radio presenter, singer, artist, and homemaker. She leaves a wonderful legacy of these attributes with her three daughters.

  • Dearest Father and Mother-in-law. In our Sikh Anand Karaj (wedding ceremony in 1993, the Giani Ji/ Preist always explained it was not just about Rupindar or Stephen but the union of the Atwal & Millington family. Mummy Ji was the biggest supporter of that union. God Bless..Waheguru
