Rod passed away peacefully at St Catherine's Hospice on 21st June 2026. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him.
Funeral Arrangements
The funeral service will take place on Tuesday 7th July 2026 at 11:30am at East Riding Crematorium (Octon Crematorium), Octon Cross Road, Driffield, North Humberside, YO25 3BL.

Following the service, all are warmly invited to join the family for refreshments and to celebrate Rod's life at Flamborough Golf Club, Lighthouse Road, Flamborough, Bridlington, YO15 1AR.

Deeply saddened to hear of Rod's passing he was a proper gentlemen and did lots of good work for his home club, the F&DRGA and Yorkshire RGA. A giant of a man in golfing terms always ready to help and to listen. He will be greatly missed. Sincere condolences from myself and all the people at Filey Golf Club there is a special place in our hearts for him.
I am meant to be away on holiday next week but am trying to change it, to come and pay my respects.
I know that he was intensely proud of you all and my heart is full of sadness for the family. Lots of love to you Sue and Tania and the wider family. If l cannot be there please know that l shall be thinking about you all. With love Stuart

The staff at St Catherine's Hospice were amazing throughout the time dad was staying there but especially in the last week when they not only looked after dad but mum and I too. We can't thank them enough for everything they did to make dad feel safe, comfortable and peaceful.
