I greatly miss my twin of almost 77 years but he is all around me every day
Orlando Peter Rossetti aged 76 died peacefully at home after a short illness on 31st May with his immediate family around him.
Orlando (Rollo), or as many of his friends knew him. Peter, was born in Epsom on 25th July 1949 one of twins, living his early life in Ashtead, Surrey before graduating from University of London (Wye) with a BSc in Agriculture.
Following graduation, he joined the Heinz Company working at their Darlington Mushroom facility where he acquired the skills, knowledge and desire to establish his own mushroom growing business in Bordon, Hampshire.
When market forces made UK mushroom production uneconomic, he recognised the need to retrain becoming a fully qualified electrician and creating another thriving business from scratch. He was also a Founder Member of the highly successful Hampshire Farmers Markets.
Rollo / Peter was a larger-than-life character, gregarious, with an aptitude for all things practical and generous with his time.
He is survived by Pauline, her children, Matthew and Claire. James, a son by his previous marriage, predeceased him.
He will be much missed.
Happy memories of Peter and his twin helping with the decking and having a well earned pint 🍺 after xxx
