In loving memory of Maisie Kitt who sadly passed away on 13th June 2026
We are heartbroken to announce the passing of our beautiful Mum, Maisie Kitt, who peacefully departed our world on Saturday 13th June, surrounded by her family. Our Mum was a truly amazing woman, a much loved Norfolk Legend to so many through her Slimming Clubs, where she helped, inspired and cared for countless people. But to us, she was simply our Mum - our safe place, our biggest supporter, and the person who was always there for us no matter what.
We had the most wonderful childhood, filled with love, laughter and memories that we will treasure forever. We were so lucky to experience amazing holidays, which gave us stories we still share today.
Mum had a real passion for cooking and was brilliant in the kitchen. She even completed a Cordon Bleu Cookery Course in France. Her kitchen was the heart of our home and always full of delicious food, warmth and love. Christmas was wonderful, Mum made it the most magical time for us as children - the traditions of quality street, the excitement of presents and a yummy meal. She also found so much joy in her garden, her flowers especially sweet peas, abundant hanging baskets and roses were a reflection of her. Beautiful and vibrant. Mum and Dad were a wonderful combination of Tom and Barbara from 'The Good Life' when it came to growing their own fruit and vegetables, yet they could easily transform into Margot and Jerry, hosting their legendary tennis parties with style, laughter and a touch of sophistication, which mum was so good at. Mum was also a devoted Grandma to 8 Grandchildren and 3 Great Grandchildren, It has often been said that our family is blessed with a long line of strong women and Mum was a wonderful example of that strength and quiet determination and her influence will continue through the generations that follow.
She touched so many lives and the love people had for her is a testament to the incredible woman she was. While many will remember her as a Norfolk legend, we will remember her as our Mum - the woman who gave us everything. The hardest part now is asking ourselves 'who do we now call mum?' There is a space in our hearts that can never be filled and we will miss her more than words can say. Thank you for the love, your kindness, generosity and all the beautiful memories you gave us.
Goodnight Mum, reunited with Dad, we love you always and forever xxx Kitt Family
