Andy, you have been taken far too soon my distant friend. I still disappointedly cant believe that our only encounter was at Portland College in the mid naughties (I think it was 2004, but age is eroding my memory). But during that brief time period, infectious personality left a lasting impression on me.
I moved to Mansfield in 2011 for what turned out to be unsuccessful family reasons, and about a year later, I ended up meeting your brother Bob, as I tried to make social connections through my distant half sister Yasha. After a few social outings with Bob and his friends, I was hoping that connecting with Bob would lead to me and you meeting again and reconnecting; but alas, fate never allowed it to be.
You rest easy my friend, but also keep busy by watching over your wonderful daughter Jennifer and her young family. Even though we didn’t meet again in our earthly lives, I hope we do again in the heavenly afterlife.

There’s not enough space to write all the memories of our friendship, I met you when you lived in the children’s home and I was 8 years old. You looked after me and made sure everyone knew I was your friend. You were like my guardian. Over the years and the older we got you could always talk me into getting involved in your Countless schemes to get rich quick, you’d just turn up and say “Dave I’ve got a plan” so I’d get my coat and off we’d go on some crazy adventure. We shared so many laughs and did so many random unplanned things it was amazing and although there were also many lows you always came out on top in the end. You were part of our friendship circle and everyone of us I’m sure will miss you for the rest of our lives. Rest easy my friend ! Im proud to have known you. Love Dave.

Andy, I will miss you in so many ways. Will miss our days out at wellness and crystal events and walks in Derbyshire. You've been more than a good friend over the 30 odd years. You where there when I had my own cancer treatment and you helped put the world to rights so many times (I didn't always listen!) I have good memories past and present. Dont know who I'm going to ask for tech or diy advice now. Mum and dad send you love too. Love & big hugs Pandy xxx

This was taken either 1976/77,it was taken on our back garden, Big Barn Lane. Andy was the same age as my brother, Peter Tassell, I was the same age Ann. So from left to right,me, Andy, my other brother Shaun & Pete. Fun days 😊
