I will miss you so much mum, but am reassured that you passed away pain free and peacefully. I shall miss your no nonsense advice and unwavering love and affection for me and Chloe. We had some wonderful times together - at home, on holiday, at Christmas, cheer comps, day trips, at the theatre, meals out, and more recently at the care home. I have such fond memories of holidays as a child at Skegness and Sutton on Sea, then later years the New Forest, as well as at the Petwood Hotel in Woodhall Spa over the festive period. We spent one picturesque Christmas in Austria and were on the winning team of a murder mystery day trip on the Orient Express, which included a visit to Brighton Pavilion. Your 25th wedding anniversary trip to Canada in 1993 was particularly special, although I don’t think you ever recovered from the helicopter flight over Niagara Falls! I am so thankful that we had a close bond, which strengthened further with dad’s passing in August 2002. Going forward I will always ask myself ‘what would mum say or do’. I have such fond memories of our time together, which I know will be a source of strength in times of need. Love and miss you, mum. Love Sara x
