Dr Hugh Trevor Delves.
4th August 1936 – 28th May 2026.
With great sadness we announce the passing of Trevor, peacefully at home with family around him.
A loving husband to his late wife, Irene, and to his present wife, Christine, he will also be greatly missed by his children, Sharon, Ian and Joanne, their partners, and his ten grandchildren. Forever in our hearts.
A Requiem Mass will be held at 1pm Friday 19th June 2026 at Immaculate Conception Church, Portswood Road, Southampton followed by an interment at Hollybrook Cemetery.

In memory of my dear friend Trevor Delves, who was the consummate gentleman and a shining example of integrity and humility in the world of science. Yet he stood as a giant in the field of analytical atomic spectrometry. Future analytical scientists will read his seminal papers on trace elements and human health and recognize him as a pioneer. I will remember him as a soft-spoken mentor and true friend. Rest in peace.
