Both myself and my mum Carol were very sorry to hear of John Peak Garlands passing away.
My Father Rod Blanchard worked with him on the Lorries and was his Lorry drivers β€œMate” they were also good proper mates and Pete and Gwen came to my dad’s funeral fifteen years ago. Until this day I always thought his name was Pete Garland I really had no idea it was peak. We wish all the family well and hope he is reunited with Gwen and having a few celestial drinks with my dad.

  • I can remember dad speaking fondly of your dad. His time working on the lorries. He was so amazing, thank you so much for taking the time to write a message. Will try and focus on the good times. So sad. Angela Mead John's daughter.

  • Hi Steven thanks for your nice message of condolence, I recall dad always speaking fondly of your father and I recall meeting him on a couple of occasions back in the day. If you are in touch with any of dad's remaining lorry driver mates, please let them know of his funeral, hopefully we will see you and your mum on the day. πŸ™
