Ann Instance (née Lenihan)
31 August 1941 – 30 May 2026

Ann Instance passed away peacefully at home on 30 May 2026, surrounded by her family, following a short illness.

Ann was known for her warmth, generosity, strong character, sense of humour and love of family and friends. She enjoyed travelling, particularly the many winters she and Bryan spent in Spain following retirement. She was a proud grandmother to Jo, Sam, Harry, Ben, May, Jess, Ed and Meg, all of whom she loved dearly.

Ann will be greatly missed by her husband Bryan, her family, her many friends, and all whose lives she touched.

Funeral Mass: 2nd July, 11:00am at English Martyrs Church, Frindsbury.
Committal: Thames View Crematorium.
Reception: The Knowle Country House, Higham.

Flowers to be delivered to T. Allen, 1-3 Wells Road, Strood, Kent ME2 2PN by 9am 2nd July or 3:30pm on 1st July. Alternatively Donations can be made to Cancer Research UK.

May she rest in peace.

Paul Middleton donated £60 in memory of Ann

We were all sorry to hear about the loss of Ann. As her next door neighbours we had known her for over 50 years which is a long time. We were aware that she had not been mobile for a few years but did not know that her condition had gone down recently. The funeral service was a wonderful memorial to both family and friends. It is always difficult to know what to say on these occasions.
