I shall miss you a lot and remember many happy times with you and Janet. We had several happy holidays together and I especially remember Jonathan's wedding and going to Holland. I can still hear your voice when you and John used to do drill. Sorry I cannot make the service but will be thinking of you and all the family. Much love Vanessa

We always enjoyed being part of the various trips Roger made to Spain, in particular following his interest in Wellington and how he helped boot the French out of Spain during the peninsula war…
He was also very generous in help and advice given over our Ronda farmhouse, for which we are forever grateful.
And he was a real help for my mum Gillian when Stewart died after a long health battle.
Thinking of you on Friday!

Jon, Gabriella, Maia & Alfie xxxx

My condolences to all the family, I have so many happy memories of Roger from the wonderful Wenters Reunions. He was always so kind, especially when, new to bridge, I failed to open 3 of a suit when I should have done. He was full of great stories and I will always remember how he made me welcome to the Wenters family when times were tough for me. with good wishes Ann

Hello... My brother, John Godley, has just told me this sad news. My sincere condolences to all of you. I remember Roger fondly from when we lived in Westcott; he was always so kind, always ready to chat and always had a great story to tell. Best wishes to the family, from Graeme & Joanna Hughes
