Angela passed away peacefully on 23rd May aged 79 years.

A devoted and fiercely loving Mum to Dean, Wayne, Deborah and Katie. A devoted and totally adored Grandma to all her wonderful 14 Grandchildren and 10 Great Grandchildren. A nurturing sister to Treshia, Jim, Jean, Christopher and to the late John and Brian. Angela was also a much loved Auntie and special friend to many. Angela worked very hard in the community as a home help for many years which suited her personality completely, she excelled in this role as her caring nature is second to none. She never faltered in the endless love and support that she gave to her family, for this reason and many others she will be sorely missed.

To all who knew her, please join us at her funeral to pay our respects and then on to the wake at Ashfield house where we can share stories and memories of our Angie.

My beautiful grandma, I still can’t get over never seeing you again. Thank you for helping raise me, helping me as an adult, the sewing, the stain removing, cleaning and always having my back. I am so lucky to have been loved by you. I treasure all my memories with you. Grandma and Grandads has always been the hub for our family and I will miss popping round which always included you getting out the biscuits and making sure we were fed. Nothing was ever to much trouble. Me and the kids will carry you with us for the rest of our lives. Love you forever xxxxx

A very fun trip to England in 2017 (from Canada). Auntie Angie made we feel so welcome and it was like we never left. RIP Auntie Angela.

I’m heartbroken for the family. Auntie Angie was truly a beautiful, loving person and world is less bright without her. I will always have a special place for her in my heart. She’s gone to be with Uncle Stan and leaves behind an amazing legacy - her amazing children and grandchildren. Love to you all xxx

It’s not going to be the same without clean cupboards and Angela helping to keep Katie’s cleaning standards high for so many years.

The difference she made, and the support she gave in so many other ways, was truly special. There will no doubt be many proud family members who experienced those same values from both of them — guiding, challenging, defending and celebrating so many great moments over the years.

The wedding trip to Las Vegas, where the sisters reunited, was certainly one of those occasions that made the celebration even more special. They will both be greatly missed. A wonderful double act, and in those extra-special moments even Ange would occasionally drop in the odd joke — a bit like a Christmas special on Emmerdale.

RIP Ange x
