In loving memory of Yvonne (Evie) Cummins who sadly passed away on 11th May 2026. A beloved wife, mother, sister, aunt and friend to so many.

Evie was more widely known as a Murray, a Pearce or a Slater, but we managed to make her a Cummins, something she was determined would happen, before she passed.

Evie was diagnosed mid-March with a rare form of cancer, cholangiocarcinoma, which unfortunately is one which has no obvious symptoms, so tragically is all too often incurable and untreatable by the time it is detected. Such was the case with Evie. Sadly Alex and I had so little time with her after she was diagnosed.

We have been overwhelmed and truly humbled by the messages of condolence we have received. They all talk of Evie with huge respect and love as a wonderful and inspiring woman who leaves a void in their lives, both personal and professional in equal measure. She is greatly missed.

The funeral will be at Kent and Sussex crematorium in Tunbridge Wells at 11:30 on Thursday 18th June, and afterwards at the Nevill Golf Club.

If anyone wants to pay their respects to Evie but can't be with us on the day, the funeral service will be streamed online at https://watch.obitus.com/login/rsudyr (username juxu4302, password 599495). This link will allow you to live stream from around 11:25 on the 18th, then it will be available again to watch on catch up / on demand from around 20th June for 28 days.

If you can, dress bright and casual - no sea of black please.

No flowers please but donations can be made to AMMF, the Cholangiocarcinoma Charity...a JustGiving link is on this page. The charity’s colour is purple so if you have anything purple, why not wear it?

There is an area on this page where you can pay your condolences and leave memories. There's also an area to upload photos - Evie was notoriously camera-shy so if anyone has any photos Alex and I would love to see them.

Please use the Attendance tab on the obituary to let us know if you are able to attend the funeral.

Thank you, Paul and Alex xx

I'd only known Evie for 18 months via. the LSF. It was a pleasure to work with Evie, with her determination, no-nonsense approach, high standards and humour always shining through. Every conversation included mention of Alex and Paul and her pride in you both was immense, which I hope gives you some comfort at this time. I've fond memories of sharing a bottle of red, hearing some great stories and I'm sure many glasses will be raised in Evie's honour.

As Evie’s hairdresser for the last 6-7 years.. I will hugely miss her.
As a hairdresser you sometimes see clients more than your own extended family. Evie was always so so organised. Booking a whole year’s appointments in advance!!
I will miss her terribly.. what a powerful women and a real role model and inspiration.
It has been a pleasure and privilege to have know Evie..
My thoughts are with Paul and Alex too

We loved working with Evie on the LSF. She had a great sense of humour and a magnetic personality – and didn’t put up with any waffle! We miss her.

It’s nice to see so many happy photos. Best wishes to Paul and Alex from all of us at LCP.

Sincere condolences to Paul and Alex for the loss of Evie. She was such a fun loving and positive person and good friend. I had a fab time in Ireland with Evie in 2003, we visited many lovely places and had real fun and laughter.
Evie loved going out on RIB trips with John, Jools and myself many a weekend. We remember our Powerboat Level 2 in a force 10, which was quite terrifying, but we all passed. We enjoyed various camping weekends too.
Evie will be missed beyond words and I am sure is looking down on everyone saying just enjoy life.
Love Cath and Jools
Xxx
