On 30th April, peacefully at home in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, Chris aged 74 years, formerly of Skipton. Beloved husband of the late Wendy, dearly loved dad of Gavin, Martyn and Suzanne, much loved grandad to Jack and Heidi, father in law to Sarah and a dear friend to many. Chris' funeral service will take place on Friday 19th June at Skipton Crematorium at 1.00pm, family flowers only please, donations in memory of Chris would
be appreciated for MNDA. Followed by a wake at Skipton Hotel (formerly Rendezvous for anyone staying over please use Discount code = GA04619 on the rooms when booking).

Please do use this platform to add any photos and memories of Dad (Chris) that you have. If you could confirm attendance via this platforms link and also and feel free to share it with others that would be appreciated.

Dad had many friends around the world and practically I know that not everyone will be able to make it in person. We will be live streaming the funeral via the link below. We have 250 of these licences however please could I ask that people that are viewing via link buddy up and join together where possible so that everyone that wants to watch is able to do so. The link will also be live for 28 days afterwards & we will also have a recording of it.

Sad news about Chris. I remember him as a "cheeky chappie" two years below me at Keighley Boys Grammar School. And then as a playing companion at Wharfedale Rugby Club for a number of years. RIP

So sad to hear the news about the passing of Chris As the Salvation Army would say, Chris has been "Promoted to Glory". We were very privileged to be able to catch up with him last year when he visited Sydney as part of the British Lions Rugby Tour. We will forever have fond memories of sharing good times in Jeddah. Especially, involvement with the BBG and all those formal and informal social gatherings. We will certainly tune into the live video streaming of the service. Our thoughts and prayers will be with you all during this celebration of Chris's life. XXX

What an amazing person Chris was, from his unwavering support to me and the BBG sports team in our annual competition with the ABJ to his waifs and strays Christmas dinners, his support of Hash House Harriers, the BBG, the Caledonian Society and most ex pat social functions, he will be missed. At least he is at peace now. Xxx

At the recent Jeddah Caledonian Society evening, (British Consulate - Friday 15th May), all present raised a glass in honour of your late father.
He is fondly remembered and sadly missed by all of us who knew him.
Sincere condolences to you and your family.
