On 30th April, peacefully at home in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, Chris aged 74 years, formerly of Skipton. Beloved husband of the late Wendy, dearly loved dad of Gavin, Martyn and Suzanne, much loved grandad to Jack and Heidi, father in law to Sarah and a dear friend to many. Chris' funeral service will take place on Friday 19th June at Skipton Crematorium at 1.00pm, family flowers only please, donations in memory of Chris would
be appreciated for MNDA. Followed by a wake at Skipton Hotel (formerly Rendezvous for anyone staying over please use Discount code = GA04619 on the rooms when booking).

Please do use this platform to add any photos and memories of Dad (Chris) that you have. If you could confirm attendance via this platforms link and also and feel free to share it with others that would be appreciated.

Dad had many friends around the world and practically I know that not everyone will be able to make it in person. We will be live streaming the funeral via the link below. We have 250 of these licences however please could I ask that people that are viewing via link buddy up and join together where possible so that everyone that wants to watch is able to do so. The link will also be live for 28 days afterwards & we will also have a recording of it.

Chris and I kept in touch all the time he was in Saudi. I will miss his Christmas cards and yearly updates.
We met in 1991.
It was a beautiful service and a fitting tribute to a lovely man.

Missing you so much. I wish I could be there to see you off tomorrow, but I know you are all around us, always. Rest well and give mum a big hug from all of us in Aotearoa 💗 🙏💗 Ps, your hurricanes are for the win Saturday night. Your seat is waiting. X

Chris was our neighbour in Jeddah for 4 years. He was our dear friend and we shared many happy days here with him. We miss the sound of his laughter and his wise words. Chris welcomed us into the community when we first arrived here and we spent many happy times with him around his bar. I miss him dearly, as every afternoon when he came home from work he would walk past our patio and I still hear the words "oh hellooo". We would share a few minutes about our day and always have a laugh. Who will I bake a sweet treat for on the weekend now. It was always so special to knock on his door with a slice of cake or a piece of pie. Chris's Christmas updates were a favourite for so many and he will live in our hearts forever. Rest in peace now dear Chris! All is now truly "fine fine fine!" With love from John and Liezil your Jeddah neighbours. 🤍🕊

Sad news about Chris. I remember him as a "cheeky chappie" two years below me at Keighley Boys Grammar School. And then as a playing companion at Wharfedale Rugby Club for a number of years. RIP
