Thank you, Mike, for your help and friendship to me over the years, for your warmth and interest, -especially our joint interest in gardening. I shall miss your tomato plants!

Your wonderful family gave you a great send-off yesterday, and spoke of you with such love. You clearly leave behind a massive hole in so many lives.

I hope you are occupied cycling along pot-hole and traffic-free pathways, with the sun on your face and the wind whistling around your helmet.

I send a small donation to the charity which helped your family be with you during those last difficult weeks and months.
