James Michael Scott (20 Feb 1944 - 1 May 2026)

In loving memory of James Michael Scott who passed away peacefully in the early hours on May 1st 2026. Beloved Husband to Jane, adoring father to Debbie, Rachel and Daniel. Father-in-law to Brian and the late Ian, known as the wonderful 'Pop' to his grandchildren Joe, Jacob, Camilla, Florence and Ralph and great grandad 'G Pop' to Rupert, Iris, Poppy, Margot and Romy.

James lived to work and made the most of every moment the world had to offer; from enjoying holidays aboard in Greece and Italy to family BBQ's in the summer, telling us his stories of old, with a glass of Merlot in hand.

Being the true gentleman he was; he never failed to dazzle everyone he met with his larger than life character paired with his excellent sense of humour; making it a privilege to all that knew him. His generosity and kindness never wavered sponsoring the Gosport Rugby team and the Hamble FC Pan Disability adult football club; helping fund the club's sporting events overseas.

Loved travelling to places by the sea and socialising with his local friends and neighbours in the park in his later retirement years.

His lasting legacy lives on through his family, with his final message focusing around the idea of always looking forward and never back. Live for the day. Love life, live well and wanting everyone to live as happy a life as he did.
