In loving memory of William John “Bill” Neobard, who sadly passed away on 12th April 2026.

Bill leaves behind his wife Toni, his son Tim and daughter-in-law Helen, and his much-loved grandchildren Sam and Kasia.

We would love for friends and family to join us as we say goodbye to Bill. It would mean a great deal to have you with us, both at the funeral and at the reception afterwards.

The funeral service will take place at Southend Crematorium (West Chapel) at 1pm on Friday 22nd May 2026, followed by a gathering at Saxon Hall. Full address details can be found on this page. We would be very grateful if you could let us know if you are able to attend – there is a link on this page to enable you to do this.

If you are not able to be there in person, the service will be livestreamed so you can still be part of it from wherever you are. Details of how to join are provided below:

If, in lieu of flowers, you would like to make a donation in Bill’s memory, we are supporting Parkinson’s UK. Bill lived with the many challenges of Parkinson’s, and the support and guidance we received from this charity in helping us navigate those challenges and answer our many questions meant a great deal to us. Supporting their work feels especially meaningful. There is a link on this page, and there will also be a donation box at the service.

Many thanks for your kindness and support.

I am deeply saddened to hear that we have lost such a wonderful friend. He was not only a highly professional patent attorney, but also a warm and thoughtful person who genuinely cared for those around him. Above all, he was someone who understood and embraced different cultures with openness and respect. May he rest in peace.

I learned of Bill’s passing with much sadness. I spent many days on numerous business trips to Korea with him. He was a resourceful and indefatigable travel companion. He would always find a humorous angle in challenging circumstances. He loved Korea and its people which made our travels so much more interesting. I shall miss him.

We are so sad to learn of Bill’s passing. What a great loss to friends and family. But we remember the good times we shared, how Bill steered Chris through those early days at the Patent Office to be on course for a career that landed him in Australia. Dear Bill….so much humour to be had! How good it was to see you both here, Toni, for our Anniversary celebration in 2006. Happy days that will never be forgotten. Take comfort. Rest In Peace Bill.
