Brian Alan Pay (21 Apr 1947 - 9 Apr 2026)

Brian or Alan as he was known to his family in Derbyshire will always be remembered and forever missed. Janet and I would like to thank our family in Kent for making us so welcome on the day of the funeral.

I will always have very fond memories of Brian ( or Alan as we knew him in Derbyshire). He was a lovely man who always made us laugh. He was a good friend to Mick and they would talk for hours about fishing. He was so caring and we will all miss him. Sorry I can’t make it to the funeral but I will be thinking of you all. Sue

I will always remember u from ur fishing days with Dover Sea Angling when i was little and then u teaching me how to drive. U really were the best. Thinking of your family

You always promised me you wouldn’t retire until I had my license. And you kept that promise. I will be forever greatful that. From chats in the car to chats at the garage you always made me laugh. Rest in peace Brian. Xxx

My dear brother-in-law you have left a big hole in everyone's hearts ...so many memories and stories too many to mention but the one for me was when we went to Turkey and we went fishing and you bent down and your shorts split from back to front I've never laughed so much.you was a great man ...a gentle giant...kind and caring gonna miss your calls and banter ... your with the love of your life your lovely Linda together again gonna miss you bri rip love alwayes carol xxxx

Never forget him coming to ours and saying I’m going to Canterbury, you can drive , every time I took my test he went shopping in netto and brought rubbish , teaching the buggie to say “ Brian a dangler “ , hearing he had lost his phone over the edge of a boat , hearing got a lot of stick for that

I first met Brian in October 1985 when he came in the showroom and ordered his first SEAT Ibiza Driving School car. That was the start of many more to follow. In all the following years that I knew him I can honestly say that I never heard him speak ill of anyone and would do anything he could to help people. Great bloke, will be missed. Rest in Peace mate.

Thanks to Brian and all the patience he showed to so many children in S’well and all the first time passers he achieved!! He will be greatly missed. RIP dear Brian. ❤️

Sorry for your loss and love from your CanadIan family. Back in the 80’s when your Brian came to Canada I loved visiting with him. When I came to 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 in the early 90s I stayed with him in Shepherd’s Well. He was so nice and treated me so well. A few years back I contacted him on facebook and have been messaging him at Christmas each year. So sad to hear of his passing.
