That was a beautiful service with some wonderful tributes. I miss Rupert’s cheerful presence at number 42 and keep expecting to bump into him on the stairs.
The house isn’t the same without him popping in and out, and he’s sorely missed. He was so kind, funny and helpful, and always had time to stop for a chat.
Over the 20+ years I knew him as a friend and neighbour, I could always count on him for help and support. Nothing was ever too much trouble – he was a very generous soul.
Rest in peace, Rupert. 🩵

We have lived next door to Rupert and Ann for 24 years, this photo makes me smile - I caught him barking back at my dog through the door on the camera, I’m not sure who was more delighted 🥰 truly a one-off, sleep tight. Helen, Charlie & Sophie (& Monty)
