In loving memory of Gary Peter Allen who sadly passed away on 1st April 2026, aged 46 years.

Gary was deeply loved by his family and friends and his passing has left a huge void in their lives. He was brave, funny, caring and clever, and he showed tremendous courage throughout his long illness, living life to the full and raising money for Macmillan Cancer Support. His strength of character, determination and love for people will never be forgotten by those who knew and loved him. He lit up the room with his sense of humour and kindness. He was a friend to many and an inspiration. He was, and will always be, loved, cherished and always in our hearts, until we meet again and beyond.

Family flowers only please may be sent c/o John Weir Funeral Directors, Rainham by 1:00 pm.
Donations, if desired, in memory of Gary for the Wisdom Hospice Charity may be made online via this site

Mate you truly were one of the good ones, although we lost touch over the years, whenever we did meet up it was like I'd just seen you yesterday. Big love Garence ❤️xx

Gary what a true gentleman you were, you know how much I hated earlies but I always made sure I was in early so you could go home because you would always great me with a smile. My heart breaks for Emma and Amelie, a daughter’s name we shared, and I will be thinking of them on this very sad day. Fly high mate x x

Gary was one of the kindest and genuine person you could meet. I worked with him at Sutton. He really cared for those that he led and was a great team Inspector. He was a true family man and gentleman. The world is a sadder place with his passing.

I first met you in late 2001 as a tutor on my first (and best!) Street Duties Course at RW as APS. We both had brown hair!

Your good humour and kindness shone through from the start and daft little TLAs crept in, like SOI (Straight On
It), VMS (Very Much So) and others that have been lost in the mists of time. A good time was had by all; we worked and played hard for those 10 weeks! Teambuilding dear boy, team building! ;)

Our paths crossed randomly over the years and we reminisced fondly over the good old days.

I've dug out photo of us socialising over the road with Mack and Briggers. Can't remember the occasion, apart from I noted on Facebook that Pete Ives had size 5 feet 🤣

The world is a sadder place without you. Peace and love. Keep them laughing up in Heaven mate. SOI I hope ;)

Mossy xx
