In loving memory of James Thomas Clarken Fisher who sadly passed away peacefully on 29th March 2026 at the Queen’s Medical Centre.
James known as ‘Jim ‘ was a unique character who touched many peoples lives both personally & professionally .
Born in Croydon to Anne & Reginald Fisher , brother to John & Christopher, proud father to James Jnr, & Julianne with his first wife Brenda, Leo & Joseph with his second wife Linda and Grandpa Jim to Joseph, Isaac & Edie.
In recent years Suzie was his close companion.
From an early age he was travelling! As an evacuee, a salesman and taking his family on new adventures.
He discovered skiing & introduced his family to the sport he loved, one of his favourite places was on top of a mountain. He enjoyed trips to the seaside & in recent years he enjoyed cruises.
He could create a party atmosphere with his generosity & ability to make people laugh with his jokes, stories & his skittle renditions ! .
He liked people & people liked him.
He had a varied career starting in the RAF as a PTI , Corporal JTC Fisher 4075304 !
Trained in lace design, became a salesman , wholesaler of textiles , manufacturer of knitwear & later publican of the Hand & Heart. James also enjoyed developing properties.
He was artistic , creative , a lover of music & cars often being the first to own the latest model.

James supported Nottingham Forest & attended two European Cup matches in 1979 & 1980.
Maybe they’ll win this year?!
He loved having a chat about how well the team was doing though he also supported Tottenham!
We are grateful for all you did for us & will share our great memories with each other & anyone else who’ll listen.
We love you dad & we will miss you.
Enjoy your next journey.

My deepest sympathy to Julie Anne, Jim jnr and Leo at this sad time. Jim was a true gentleman, entrepreneur, mentor and bon vivant. Living his life to the full.
He will always be remembered.
