Peacefully in hospital, on April 6th aged 86 years, Betty (née James). The beloved wife of the late Bill, much-loved mam of Gary, Paul, Julie and dear mother-in-law of Lisa and Tommy. A cherished nana and great-nana and the dearly loved sister of John and Olga. Loved and remembered always.
Family and friends please meet on Tuesday 28th April for service in Independent Methodist Church, Easington Lane at 9.45am, committal to follow in Sunderland Crematorium. Please join the family afterwards to continue celebrating Betty’s life in Easington Lane WMC.

Just heard of the passing of such a beautiful lady. I had the privilege of servicing her boiler for more than 20 years. I have to say I'm devastated 😭. I send my love to all of the family and this incredibly difficult time. Betty will be remembered and will have left a mark on everyone's heart she ever came into contact with she will be missed immensely. She also had the best garden in easington lane

Remembering you, Aunty Betty, and all the special times we shared growing up, the day trips and card games. I will never forget my first pair of Geordie Jeans, a memory that always makes me smile and think of you. You will be dearly missed and always remembered with love.
