Hayes
Easington Lane
Peacefully surrounded by his loving family and his best friend on 1st April, aged 49 years, John. The much-loved son of John and the late Doreen, a devoted brother to Julie and Maureen, and a dear brother-in-law to Steven and Tony. A treasured uncle to Robert, Anthony, John, Brad, Shannon, Faye, Chloe and Luke, and their partners. A cherished great-uncle to Scarlet, Riley, Robbie, Mason, Jaxon, Lily Rose, Lilly Ann, Tommy, Isla and Avarni. Also a loving godfather to Kyson and Renee, a devoted best friend to Tara, and a loyal friend to many. John will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him.

A service to celebrate John’s life will take place on Wednesday 29th April at 12 noon at Easington Lane Independent Methodist Church, followed by interment at Easington Lane Cemetery. All are warmly invited to join the family afterwards at Easington Lane Workmen’s Club for refreshments and to continue sharing memories of John.

Family flowers only, please. Donations in lieu of flowers are gratefully received in memory of John for the work of Marie Curie. A donation box will be available at the church.

All enquiries to Andrew Grey Funeral Directors, 30 Station Road, Hetton-le-Hole, Tel: 0191 526 5800.

With deepest sympathy from Andrew and staff.

I went through primary and secondary school with John, always knew how to make me laugh... how to make everyone laugh. Kind, caring and funny. After school, over the years, I loved watching his adventures and antics both at home and abroad, with family and friends. John was always a larger than life character, he was and still is, loved and respected by many. He will be missed by many, especially his family and close friends. My heart goes out to his family, to Tara, and to all of his other friends. Remember that he will live on forever in our hearts, and in the stories we tell to future generations of all the precious memories you shared. Rest in peace my friend 💔
