Dear Denis,
Thank-you for getting me started on my writing journey, I really enjoyed our meet ups and talking about writing.

Denis, how much I miss and shall miss your gentle generous spirit, warmth and friendship online in Suffolk Writers - and very much miss too your beautiful, original, interesting and always superbly crafted, inspiring and lyrical writings - on nature, countryside, Suffolk or personal memories . . You were such a special member of the group - and getting a Like or a coveyed comment from you for my own pieces was such a delight and encouragement. Special writer, special person - rest in soft Suffolk peace with your Jan - and you won't be forgotten.

Thank you for your service to Mendham.
Both you (and Jan) were dependable supporters of Mendham School, serving on the governors for many years.
Also thank you for your time on the Parish Council and your support for the village hall. Your knowledge and expertise will be sadly missed.

Denis you were such an inspiring member of the SWG. I miss so much your beautiful contributions and your generous encouragement to others, myself included. It was always such a joy to read your pieces .

I chose the green candle especially, because it represents the colour of nature,which you always wrote about so beautifully,in poetic form.
Your words were always so perfectly penned and they expressed so wonderfully, your real life experiences.
I miss seeing your presence in Suffolk Writers Group,and the work that you would share,on a regular basis.
Your lovely,kind comments about other people’s writing,were always very much appreciated,and they were a true,genuine compliment.

Denis you were a shining light in SWG, not only for your captivating poetry but also for your kind comments and encouragement. It was always first prize when you participated in one of my challenges or commented on one of my posts. I have thought of you often over the past days and miss your wonderful words and generosity of spirit. May you be weaving words of love for your beloved Jan who sits beside you in the other place.

Denis, how I - well I suspect lots of us - miss you and your writings in Suffolk Writers Group. I always looked forward to your contributions, and also the very encouraging, helpful, appreciative and interesting comments you would add, to others'. It always felt rather special to get a comment from you.
I thought of you as I set today's Easter Day task, to celebrate birds. RIP dear Denis.
