In loving memory of our beautiful mum, Catherine Mary (Cathy) Huntley, who left us peacefully and with us by her side, on 12th March 2026 after her courageous journey with Myelofibrosis. Mum faced everything with such bravery, fearlessness, and quiet dignity—qualities that made us admire her more than words can say. As was typical with Mum, she confounded even the most expert of consultants, and her condition, by living with it for so long. That is a testament to her approach in life!
We will miss her deeply; her warmth, her humour, her hugs, and the way she filled every room with love. This will stay with us forever.
The celebration of Cathy's life will be on Tuesday 14th April for all our family and friends. The service will be at St Paul’s Church, Dover at 11.00am followed by a service at Barham crematorium at 1.00pm. This will be followed by a reception for all from 2.00pm at The Dover Marina hotel with a view of the sea. For those who do not attend the crematorium the hotel will provide refreshments from 1.00pm. To reflect Mum’s love of nature, no black please, instead anything floral and bright.

Maria and I remember the special times together with Cathy, especially the trip to Dover Castle and the beach restaurant Bella Italia on Dover seafront. We also remember our one to one chats at the various family gathering. Being with Cathy at Elizabeth and Joe's wedding was so special, I hope I didn't embarrassed myself about the camels!!. Cathy, may you rest in peace and have a safe journey in the afterlife. You are in our thoughts forever. 🖤🖤
