Cliff - Ever since we met at Dorking project - I never looked back and had you by my side as a friend, philosopher and guide. I could count on you on any evening or weekend or even when you had bad signal in ur Wales holiday home. I miss your reassuring voice and indomitable spirit - You will be remembered for long - Abi

I knew Cliff only for this last three years, I very much respected him and enjoyed our meetings, he was wise, and a real gentleman in every sense of the word. He was supportive, and cared that I received pragmatic advice, I will miss him.

I first met Cliff back in 2003, and went on to work with him on and off for 20 years.

He was so much more than a boss – he was a mentor and a friend. He always treated me like family, and I learnt so much from him over the years.

There was never a dull day working with Cliff. He loved a laugh, a joke, and had a way of making everyone around him smile.

I will miss you dearly, Cliff. Thank you for everything.

Sending love to all of Cliff’s family and friends, especially Sue, Kirsty, Damien, Darren and Russell.

Goodnight, Cliff. Rest peacefully x

We will miss Cliff in so many ways but in particular his wise counsel, his dry wit and of course his generous cellar!
