In loving memory of Vera Carter who sadly passed away on 10th February 2026.
Vera always liked to have a laugh and a joke and despite suffering from dementia she never lost her sense of humour.
She loved a good chat and was always pleased to see her niece and nephew (and their families) when they visited her at the nursing home and often reminisced about growing up in Lower Kingswood, her jobs, her friends and Bill her late husband. She spoke fondly about the many holidays she'd been on and the places she'd visited over the years.
She is now at peace and reunited with her brother, sisters and her late husband Bill.
We remember Vera and cherish the happy times spent together over the years.
The funeral will be held at Surrey & Sussex Crematorium at 12.30pm on Thursday 19th March and afterwards at The Parsons Pig https://www.parsonspig.co.uk/findus. All are welcome.
The family have requested no flowers but donations to Alzheimer's Research UK would be appreciated.

We lived next door to Vera from 2012 till 2021 and I can safety say she was the best neighbour.
We visited her in the home after we moved but lost touch after.
I have many fond memories of her, she was always very kind and funny and she loved all the kids in the area.
She will be missed x
