Jill Irene Dedman (26 May 1947 - 11 Feb 2026)

Our beautiful Mum, Jill, sadly passed away suddenly on 11th February 2026. She was not just our Mum but our best friend too. Always there for us in person, and on the end of the phone whenever we wanted a chat or her advice.

Mum loved gardening and always used be out in the garden until she was no longer able to, due to her health. Mum would advise as what was needed to be done in the garden, so that she could continue to enjoy the garden and the plants from her window.

Mum had Multiple Sclerosis and had become housebound, but she ran our whole family from her bed or chair. Mum was always on her tablet or phone either chatting or texting to her family and friends, enjoying being part of everyone's lives, and loving all the photos and videos she was sent from them. Mum always felt and was included in our lives. Mum and Dad were happily married for 55 years.

Despite Mum's condition she was always there for Dad, Roger, Lisa, Stuart and I and her Grandsons.

We are all as a family totally heartbroken, my Dad lost his whole world and Roger and I just want our Mum back.

We will be celebrating Mum's life on Monday 16th March 2026 @ 1400 at Barham crematorium. Mum wouldn't want us to be sad and all in black. Family flowers only, any donations are to the MS Society via the just giving link, Farrier's Dover or by collection at the crematorium on the day.

Anyone attending Mum's funeral are welcome to follow onto Mum's wake.

Mum's wake will be held in the Winston Suite at Dover Marina Hotel & Spa, Waterloo Crescent, Dover CT17 9BP.
