Anne was born the eldest of four, sister to Richard, Hester and John. Her parents, Joan and Richard Chapman owned a poultry farm near Launceston. Her father died tragically when she was only 14 years old and she took on new responsibilities and supported her mother, including looking after her younger siblings.
At 17, she met Mervyn and they were married 4 years later in 1965. 3 children later and Anne was juggling homelife on the farm, being the best mum and she also took a role as book keeper at Launceston Medical centre. She loved walking, singing, taking the kids to the beach and family get-to-gethers.
During her final years, she faced a battle with Alzheimers. With Mervyn by her side, who looked after her every need, she put up a brave fight and refused to give in. Despite her physical decline, she knew who everyone was, right up to the end.
