In loving memory of Angela Jackaman who sadly passed away on 18th February 2026, aged 83 years.
Angela Jackaman, a much-loved wife, mum, nana and friend, sadly passed away on 18th February 2026, aged 83.

Born in Boston, Lincolnshire, a proud “yellow belly,” Angela spent her early years there before moving to Folkestone at the age of 12, when her father Sid took up a position with Folkestone Council. Although she didn’t enjoy her new school, it was there that she made some lifelong friends.

In 1959 she began work at the Folkestone Labour Exchange. Her job took her to London, then Ashford, and eventually back to Folkestone, where in 1965 she met Clive and they were married in 1967. They didn’t believe in outward displays of affection but there is no doubt they were lifelong soul mates.

Angela became a proud mum to Rhoda in 1972 and Helen in 1974. Family was always at the centre of her world. She was a devoted and hands-on nana to Ben, Anna and George, playing a constant and cherished role in their lives. Nothing mattered more to her than her family and friends, and she kept in regular contact with lifelong friends who meant the world to her.

Angela lived life to the full. She loved her garden (or jungle!), reading and painting, and she was an adventurous cook who loved trying new restaurants — provided there was something plain on the menu for Clive. Holidays were always in the pipeline, looking forward to new places and experiences.

It is some comfort that whilst the time was far too soon for someone so full of life, she was on holiday with Clive in Runnymead. She had enjoyed one of her favourite meals, fish pie (although joked about hearing the microwave ping) and had been laughing on the family WhatsApp group when she was suddenly taken from us following a massive stroke. She later passed away peacefully at King’s Hospital, London, with Clive, Rhoda and Helen by her side.

Angela will be remembered for her warmth, her loyalty, her humour, and above all her unwavering love for her family and friends. She leaves behind a lifetime of memories and a legacy of love that will endure in all who knew her.

Forever loved and deeply missed.
