It is with a feeling of great sorrow that the family of Howard Roland Stirk announce his death, on the 25th January 2026, after long illness patiently borne. Howard was a beloved, devoted and supportive husband, a dearly loved, caring and proud father and grandfather, and a respected father-in-law. He had also been a cherished son-in-law. The funeral service will be at St Thomas' Church, Sutton in Craven on Monday 2nd March at 11.00am to which all friends and neighbours are respectfully invited. The service will be followed by a private interment in the churchyard. It was Howard's wish that if desired, any donations given in his memory be shared between Yorkshire Cancer Research and The Royal National Lifeboat Institute.
