Robert Day, who went by Steve Stone, in our community at The Gooner Talk was a lovely man. I have sadly only just learned of his passing, and had tried to find out sooner but the nature of these things mean I only just have.
I met Bob at the Emirates, he was proudly wearing one of our branded TGT caps, he would engage daily with the channel and even donated during the early years to improve our equipment. We miss him and are so sad to learn of his passing.
Thoughts are with his family and close friends.
All the best
Tom

I talked to him a lot during the Youtube Arsenal's Tom Canton Gooner Podcast, every morning 8AM British Time. I always knew him as Steve Stone. This breaks my hart, and I am very upset hearing this. My condoleances to everyone who knew him, so sad. RIP.

Once in a lifetime someone comes along and make a an impact on your life so profound you never ever really get the chance to thank them. This person not only showed me leadership skills and compassion in the workplace but showed unwavering trust in me and and my abilities and when my life chips were at the lowest of lows he showed unbelievable compassion and He stood back and watch my talent grow and nurtured my passion for transport.

When life was pushing him down and he found himself on the floor it was only right I returned the favour.

Over the 40 years I’ve known Bob he was only ever the best person he could be. Tough but fair and a hard taskermaster in the workplace and a tough love kind of guy. His never waning love of the gooners no matter how they faired and his never say die attitude shone through to the end.

the most special man I can sincerely call a friend a colleague and a boss will be missed by all
RIP BOB DAY 💔

Dear Bob,

So sorry for the years we were apart, and so thankful we got to reconnected. My last visit with you and Rox going through old photo’s was full of laughter and will stay with me always — especially our smiles over you being such a technophobe 😜.

Rest in peace big Brother.

Love,
Jax

One of the last conversations we had you told me it pissed you off that you wouldn't be able to see Eamae grow up. It upsets me that you don't get to see that dad.

I promise she will know who you are and she will always have photos of yhe two of you together.

The last thing you said to me was that you was looking forward to seeing us both again you're just going to have to wait a bit longer until we meet in the next life dad .

I hope we will all make you proud and that you are finally at peace.

I love you x

It’s with a heavy heart that it’s time to say goodbye, we may have been separated for sometime and reconnected not that long ago but we still had that brotherly bond and I still have fond memories of past times.
Rest in peace Bob
