On Friday 23rd January 2026 at 2:45pm, we said a final goodbye to our amazing Dad/Grandad/Gramps.
He was the kindest man you could have met who loved to be out and about especially with his friends from Albany House Day Centre.
At 91, he was the life and soul of any party and certainly lived his life to its fullest.
It was one of the hardest things we had to do saying a final goodbye but he is now reunited with his beloved wife Lily and is at peace.
Our home and lives feel so empty without him 💔.
His funeral will take place on Wednesday 4th March at 1pm at Wilford Hill Cemetery followed by a celebration of his life at Greyfriars Social Club, Gordon Rd, Thorneywood, Nottingham NG3 2LG.
We are requesting that people attending his funeral wear blue and white in tribute to his beloved Sheffield Wednesday.
We are requesting family flowers only and for donations which will be split between Acute Cardiac Unit at Nottingham City Hospital and Albany House Day Centre.

George was a true gentleman who I looked up to all through my childhood- some great memories. Was loved by all and Will be sadly missed, thoughts are with all the family, love Mark and Sheryl xx
