Obituary for Lorraine Ruttan.

Our dear mum, Lorraine Ruttan died peacefully on Friday 16th January, aged 69, with her Family by her side. She leaves behind a family who adored her: her children Naomi, Natalie, Jamie & Tom, her grandchildren, and all those whose lives were brightened by her presence.

She was a woman of quiet strength - someone who moved through the world with grace, humour, and a deep appreciation for her loved ones. She found contentment at the beach, wild swimming, lavender, vintage treasures, and the simple joy of being outdoors. Her happiest moments were often found in nature: walking by the water & tending to her garden.

Throughout her life, she nurtured deep connections with family and friends. She had a gift for making people feel seen and cared for, and she carried that gift into every chapter of her life. Her warmth, kindness, and resilience shaped the people around her in ways that will continue and we will cherish forever.

She will be remembered for her generosity of spirit, her great sense of humour & fun, her love of tradition, and the way she created comfort and beauty, especially in her beautiful home. Her family will miss her deeply, but take comfort in always being by her side through everything as she was by ours!
