I had the privilege of meeting this incredible woman in Cromer. We would enjoy a cup of tea together on the prom with Sue. Joyce was one of those people that I really only got to know at the end of her life, but am so glad that I knew her at any point. Whenever Joyce came to Cromer we always tried to steal a few minutes together. I’ll always remember sitting on the pier and laughing. Just chatting away taking some photos… Sometimes for a short while, but very memorable.

Such a lovely lady who was kind and beautiful to the end.
Forever in my thoughts. xx

I never had the privilege of meeting her but Sue used to talk about her when we worked together and it felt like I knew her. After I moved a different job seeing Sues post about her mum just made me feel more like I did know her. From their holidays away, trips out or meals it felt like I knew her.

My thoughts are with Sue and her family and I will miss her mum.

It was always a privilege to meet your lovely Mother in Cromer. She had so much life in her considering her age. I remember talking to her about her career in shoe shops and how she attributed that work to her long life. I shall always remember her eating fish and chips and having a dubonnet quite late in the evening and then going to the end of the pier show! A remarkable life and an example to all of us. x
