Dave was a lovely guy and a valued, loyal colleague especially when we shared the management of the old Medway fire station. He was (old) Medway through and through and represented the very best of that station’s unique culture. Love and best wishes to his family at this very difficult time.

What a kind a gentle soul you were. The generosity you showed by coming and visiting and taking me out for the day when I was in stroke rehab will always stay with me. We'll miss you at our card games table at new year and on my birthday bbq every year. I hope you've met up with Dad to play a game of chess or two.

You came to us on your first promotion to Leading Fireman at Thames-side where I was still a relatively new Fireman on White Watch.
Thank you for your friendship, guidance, support and leadership and all I learnt from you that lasted throughout my career.
Sorry to see you go, Rest In Peace Dave.
