In loving memory of Norman Robert Swindell who passed away peacefully on 14th January 2026 aged 84 years. Norman was, born 9th February 1941.
He will be dearly missed by his devoted wife Jean, his children Nigel and Darryl, daughters-in-law Sarah and Lorraine, and his grandchildren Lewis, Archie, Fraser and Eden, extended family, neighbours and friends.
The funeral service will take place on Thursday 12th February 2026, 13:00 @ Barnby Moor Crematorium, DN22 8FL.
Family flowers only, please. If you wish to make a donation, this can be done on this page. There will also be a donation box available on the day at both the crematorium and the reception venue.

Norm was a true gentleman, someone we will always remember with a smile on his face. On my last visit to him in 2023, he sat gazing fondly at my dad, George, smiling as he regaled him with stories of their time in Berlin, where they met as 21-year-old RAF men. Mum soon joined them there, and Jean later became part of that happy circle.
After returning to the UK, they remained close friends. In the early years they didn’t always see a great deal of each other, with young children and busy lives to manage, but as their families grew up they spent more time together, sharing many happy visits and memorable holidays.
