We are so sad to share the news of the passing of Patricia Hakes, who died peacefully, at home with her family, on Tuesday, 13th January 2026.
Beloved partner of Jeff and much loved Mum to Al, Kirsty and Natalie. Pat was a proud Grandmother to Lauren and Nathan and Great Grandmother to Oliver, Cosette and Billy.
Born in Dublin in 1948 and the eldest sister to Colette, Laurie, Kieron (RIP) and Juliet, Pat will be remembered for her cheeky wit, care, kindness, and unwavering courage and strength as she faced many years with Alzheimer's in her last steps of this journey.
A funeral service to celebrate her life will be held at 2pm, 31st January 2026 in the Sherwood Forest Crematorium, Ollerton, Nottinghamshire, NG22 0DY.
On completion of the funeral service, the family will host a traditional Irish Wake at 'The Fox at Kirton', Kirton, NG22 9LP.
All who knew her, or are friends who wish to support the wider family are welcome to attend. All those attending are invited to wear something green, in a nod to Pat’s proud Irish roots.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Society by following the link on the website of our Funeral Directors.
