In loving memory of John Richard Bailey who sadly passed away on 24th December 2025
After the Service the burial will take place At Thornton Meadows Cemetery then on to Ecko Sports and Social Club .
John worked hard and had lots of interests and hobbies including flying fixed wing aircraft,skiing,sailing,restoring old vehicles,learning Spanish and Russian, pottery and silversmithing making and designing jewellery , DIY, traveling including Cruising and Camping including Caravanning..
Married twice had a Son and a Daughter. He was the eldest of 10 children worked in various occupations including Bakery, Train Guard, Inspector and Driver. Was a very strong union man and was H&S rep for RMT union. When medically retired he really didn’t want to retire and worked as a Document Controller for an Aircraft Maintenance company until being made redundant in 2015 but he still didn’t stop and was a driver for Special needs children school runs and also helped out maintaining the little steam train in Rochford , he loved all wildlife and especially his Cockerpoos Cilla and Millie, enjoyed going for a drink with his life long friend Mick and occasionally watching West Ham team play…….He was diagnosed with Myelofibrosis a rare marrow bone cancer in Jan 2025 in and out of hospital during the whole year which took a toll on his body and sadly passed away Christmas Eve…. He will be sadly missed but never forgotten ❤️

He enjoyed good food and a favourite bottle of wine Whispering Angel, as well as his usual Jamesons!
